French Apple Pie Recipe

Have Ready:

  • 1 10″ Pie Crust Placed in Pan & Crimped.

Pie Filling Ingredients

  • 5 C. Baking Apples
  • 1 1/4 C. Sugar (divided)
  • 1/2 C. Water
  • 1/2 C. Apple Juice
  • 3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
  • 1 Ounce Margarine
  • 1/2 Tsp. Salt
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. Lemon Juice

Directions

  1. 1In a small saucepan bring 3/4 Sugar & Juice to a boil. Meanwhile whisk the Cornstarch & Water together.
  2. 2Stir into the boiling juice mixture.
  3. 3Lower heat, cook until thick & Clear. Remove from heat.
  4. 4Place Apples, Cinnamon, Salt, Margarine, & Lemon Juice in a Bowl. Fold in hot slurry.

Topping Ingredients

  • 4 Ounce Pie Crust
  • 5 Ounces Brown Sugar
  • 4 Ounces Granulated Sugar
  • 1/3 C. Flour
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 4 Ounces Cold Butter

Directions (continued)

  1. 5Bake Pie Crust @ 350 until lightly browned. Cool Completely.
  2. 6Place all ingredients in a Mixing Bowl. Using the Dough Hook on LOW Speed Mix until just blended.


Assembly Directions

  1. 7Place Apple Mixture in prepared Pie Plate.
  2. 8Sprinkle Topping over Pie & Bake @ 350 for 45 -60 minutes.
  3. 9Serve warm or cool. Enjoy!
